Has anyone here ever trapped crabs? It's a big thing here in south Louisiana, but I haven't made the time to get into it yet. I have a buddy who goes out for crab every weekend during the season and he's been offering to take me with him. I really need to do that this year.

We do a lot of crab fishing off the coast of North Carolina. We set out crab pots and attach buoys to them while we're on vacation. We bait them and come back while we're there. We always catch enough to have a good mess of crabs by the time we leave to go back home. Hot sauce and steamed crabs are some kind of good.

I have never been anywhere where I could fish for crab, but I have always wanted to. I love to eat crab and I think it would be even better being fresh caught.
