We have been ice fishing most of the week and we are just hammering them! I caught 17 perch and 3 respectable walleye yesterday. that means it is almost time for a fish fry! Any other ice fishermen here?

Annie, I haven't been ice fishing in years!  You are so lucky that are able to go!  It hasn't been cold enough here to ice fish this year, even if I wanted to!

I LOVE perch.  Rolled in flour or crushed saltines and fried in butter is how my grandma used to cook them after a long day of fishing.  It's been about 20 years and I can still smell it cooking if I close my eyes.

There were days my Grandpa and I would haul up 150+ perch.  We would have so many that he would sell them to our local butcher.  Those were some great days and great memories of my childhood.

I love ice fishing! We cook them up rolled in crushed corn flakes and really hot oil. They are delicious. It makes me want to cook some up right now.

I've always wanted to try ice fishing and now you guys are making me hungry too! I can't believe I grew up in the northeast and then lived in Canada for four years and never got around to ice fishing. I should be ashamed of myself!  Scooby
