Me and a buddy are putting in for an elk tag for the first time. He lives in the middle of the elk area and has a farm to hunt already. All we have to do is get lucky in the draw. Man I hope we get one I would love to lay the cross hairs on one of those puppies. The season starts this Sept 19 for a week.

I'm on the east coast and really envy you folks living out west with your big game. I guess we'll just have to be satisfied with the deer and keep wondering how it would be to bag an elk.
